Sarah Fowler was elected to the Ohio State Board of Education in November 2012. A former small business owner, she owned and operated a farm related business for thirteen years. Currently Sarah does graphic design, sales and marketing and bookkeeping in her parents' business. Sarah is the first known homeschool graduate to serve on any state board of education. In her 'spare time', Sarah enjoys teaching hands-on skills. She has taught small classes of adults and children in both the United States and in Mexico. Sarah resides on a small farm with her family in Northeast Ohio and is a member of Orwell Bible Church.

Over the last year Sarah has met regularly with constituents of the 7th district. She has toured public and private schools, delivered a graduation address and participated as a guest speaker in numerous town hall events.
